We are delighted to invite you to a fascinating presentation on the history of an iconic forest products company, Resolute Forest Products, whose history spans over 200 years and chronicles a path of change and evolution of eastern Canada’s pulp and paper industry.
Martin Fairbank, pulp and paper industry expert and published historian, chronicles Resolute from 1820 when the William Price Company was established in Quebec City to export lumber to Great Britain capitalizing on the trade opportunities created by the Napoleonic Wars in Europe.
From origins in the lumber business Resolute grew through mergers and acquisitions of many firms familiar to forest history enthusiasts, into a global leader in the forest products business with dozens of manufacturing facilities across North America.
